Thats a nice rifle steve. Did this rifle come from a collector ?, because it looks like its new and unissued.

Yes, kinda guy that bought a few of this and that. He had the 1922 CG M96 and this one. Listed on GB at extremely fair prices. I was able to get both and keep them together. The deep pocket guys were just not watching the Auctions that closely. Pretty much their own words now.Ghost Rider wrote:Thats a nice rifle steve. ever laid eyes on. Comes with all the goodies. Work in progress. He just isn't quite ready to sell one yet. In due time I guess.
What,, an authentic Swede sniper
Are they M41 or M41B models, not that it really matters, both are impressive rifles. If I'm thinking right, the difference is in the scope design or maker along with a few slight rifle design changes, correct

Steve you might as well have a fund on the side for this guy. There is no telling what he has next! The only problem with this gun is that you just can't shoot it. Right? I mean who would do that? I can't believe I am saying those words.

I had such a fund for a guy once, he was getting divorced and selling stuff to fund the lawyers every couple of months, I ended up with most of his collection, and expensive lesson for him about the value of keeping your **** in your pants when the wife is out of town.

I hear you. It would be nice to perhaps shoot it, but it is far to perfect and valuable to go play with. I have 5 collector items now and two I do shoot. Perhaps one other will be shot also. There is just some thing about the super condition all matching Mausers that speak to you and say "Put me in your safe and think about me before you shoot me!"bunkysdad wrote:Steve you might as well have a fund on the side for this guy. Yea, that might trump this one

He says one of each. He was an FFL 01 when these first started to come into the US. He was on vacation and stopped by whoever the importer was.
They let him hand select his own order for some. He just kept the best of the lot that he looked through. Then sold the others in his shop. Just gotta wait my time with him.

Well, after looking at your two 1942 M38"s, you could send me either one to keep their younger sister company.CalFed wrote:Man...they just don't get any better than that

Re: My New 1943 Husqvarna M38
I thought the same when I saw it on Gun Brokers. I have since heard from quite a number who had seen it but were convinced the stock was incorrect OR perhaps two different rifles shown because of his poor kitchen lighting and several shots were flash! Even I could tell that though. But, I remembered the 1922 M96 I just bought from same seller. Same lighting problem. So,I had him send me more pics per my request. NO flash. Had in minutes. But anyone can see the wood is proud at all points it should be. Total blue. All wood lines are very sharp just as when it came out of the factory. But, they still let it go. Just not me.etprescottazusa91 wrote:Outlaw, that is absolutly the nicest surplus rifle I have ever seen, congrats on a great find
Here is the Auction. Would you let this go by with no questions asked about it? Big collectors did.
