I just got a 1935 peruvian mauser, and im in the process of restoring it back to original condition. The previous owner thought it was a good idea to varnish the stock and some of the metal parts on the stock, so im in the process of stripping the stock and refinishing it with BLO, and also cleaning the varnish off of the metal parts.
The parts I need are a cleaning rod, and a complete front sight. I can probably find a cleaning rod from another rifle that would work, but what I really need is the complete front sight. Ive spent hours over the past couple of days searching for one, but I can`t locate one. Does anyone know were I might find a complete front sight for my rifle ?.

Try Numrich Arms , also called Gun Parts corporation in West Hurley NY, google them, millions of gun parts, if they don't have it I don't know who would.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
