Nice.

Very nice. I have a RIA Officers model. Haven't gad a single problem with it. Only thing I did to it was new grips.
This is when I first got it.

The mag base pad looks just like the ones on the American Classic 1911's.

I have looked at a few of tese after my friend bought hid second one. I like them. These have a great reputation for being good reliable shooters from what I can tell.

Great custom grips... I wouldn't mind getting an RIA 1911... Maybe in a commander size.

Nice pistol!
By the way, there are quite a few firearm manufacturers that offer a lifetime warranty.

Re: RIA 1911
Read these posts and just couldn't wait to put up a picture of my first 1911. It's still in prison (10 day waiting period). I have read nothing but good reviews about the RIA's. This is a 1911A1 and is in excellent used condition. Needs some cleaning and oiling and then it will be right into that indoor close by. I have always wanted something 1911 but some of the prices are downright scary. This was in my range ($375). Picked it up locally in SoCal so no FFL fees, just DROS and sales tax. Just couldn't wait so post it, will let you know how it shoots. Wish me luck.
Also is it acceptable to soak old motor oil into the Parkerized parts to bring back the original "luster", if you will. If not let me know and won't try that.

The sad thing is that I share the name with my Father and Grandfather; that's right folks, I am: RRR III. My wife was happy that we had a daughter!Junk Yard Dog wrote:Nice, pistol . RRR? Randall Remo Ralston? Rory Ransom Remington? Roof Racket Rufus? No idea![]()

Just don't rob a bank and let the witnesses see the grip of the pistol, Three R's are easy to remember

375 is a damn nice price.
I almost picked up another 1911 the other week, but another guy was looking at it and I knew he needed it more... I think it was an American Classic, ironically, made in the Phillipines. Real nice pistol, great trigger pull. Colt not being what they once were they have gotten a lot of decent competition that make excellent 1911's for less $
