Oh I have no reservations about posting it, this was the first milsurp I posted on the internet some years back, I just want to leave the showcase open for members rifles, there is at least one other BM52 on the board, maybe two. Shooting it , now that is another issue, I don't feel it would be appropriate to use this rifle as a casual plinker. That's the problem with knowing the story, or some of it anyway behind a rifle you collect, it isn't just speculation anymore, the blood is real. I have the same problem with the K98k bringback, it was captured near a terrible camp, very likely the soldier who carried it had taken part in the moving of the inmates and murder of many more just hours before he himself was made a good Nazi by the young American officer who brought the rifle home. Every time I pick it up I think of people in filthy striped uniforms, gaunt with starvation, piles of body's stacked like cordwood.....
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
