Todays Finds

Post by Jumperwire »

Went out today and found a couple of things that just had to come home with me. One is a 1899 M91 Finn Captured and the other is a No4 Mk1* Savage. Not to bad of a hunt today.

Actually I just stopped in a a shop. I really liked the German stamp on the M91 and I didn't have a Savage Enfield . :D I was pretty stoked about them both. :ugeek:

I've only seen two Enfield s out here and they were both....you know...sported! Both for over 200.
The stock on that m91 is beautiful.

Jumper, I really like that "Finn", it's a bit like the one I picked up recently, it also has the Deutsches Reich stock cartouche.

But yours is older than mine by two years :)

Yours doesn't have unusual rear sight graduations does it?

Enfields nice too, but I like the "Finn's".

Beautiful rifles. And I just said how it seems Finned M91's have been cropping up lately. My latest one is a tack driver. Sighted in perfectly (oddly) for 100 yds.
Great finds.
You see in this world there are two kinds of people my friend, those with loaded guns... and those who dig. You dig.

Thanks guys. bb91, not sure what you mean by weird. I'm guessing the crossed out Ashrin marks? I was looking over my other pictures of my Finns, but I noticed that I have failed to take pictures of the sights. Anyhow, what I am referring to is the crossed out and renumbered sights. Is that what you mean? :?:

Here's the one I picked up recently, interesting rear sight marking and a few other things, this is my oldest rifle so you have me beat in that dept. :)

Great looking rifle, Congrats again! :Drool1:

That power of suggestion is a bear. Another member just mentioned one and out of the blue I find one at a good price. :o I must be pulling a "Millman"  Mine was missing the Magazine, but I will find one. I was thinking they were around $25 but looks like I will be spending around $40. That's 1/3 of a Finn in these parts.
