My High Standard Riot Shotgun.

Post by Ghost Rider »

I found this shotgun at a pawn shop. Its a High Standard Riot 18-7 Model K-1200. These shotguns were made from the mid 60`s to the mid 70`s, and I think the shotgun I have was made in 1973, because there is what appears to be a proof mark on the barrel with 73 stamped next to it.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I havn`t shot it yet, infact I have about five rifles and this shotgun that ive bought over the winter that I need to take out and shoot.
We have had a late winter here in Idaho were im at, and I still can`t get to my shooting spot because the roads are blocked with snow.

Most of the Winter was fairly mild up here, but I think you Guys down in Grangeville are at a higher overall altitude. I like that area though, seems to be a little less "touristy".

One snow storm the entire winter, it was 5", that was the winter for us. It wasn't even that cold.
