Re: Fake PU Question

Post by Mantis »

Buy rifles as long as the thing eventually starts working and you can get here to talk to us. My grandson said I have screen something, it has black lines in it. HMMMM PU or a computer?? easy.. 2 Tulas on the way
You wanna fake a PU this is the one to fake M27 FINN capture. I posted pictures under the FAKE M27 post. JYD I have a... uh well... you have a M52 I h8 you. One nice rifle.
R guns have verified snipers ATI, well I just ordered 2 Tulas, so you will all know when I do they are hand picking as I write this, I hope not noses. They are real, just East German Polizie so the provenance is not the same. The color can be different than the Rguns, it flakes off anyway. But the ATIs are really really nice and 100 bucks cheaper. R guns runs out then the ATI is the next one to go up. Once people see them, hold them, and shoot them then they will really go up. They are clean.
You really hafta know what to look for. A sniper is going to have muzzle work on it, triggers etc can be crap. Tula added a CH for sniper cert. Izhevsk is easier to fake.
There are known serial numbers of PU snipers and that is a place to start.

"A sniper is going to have muzzle work on it"..................Not true. Not sure where you got that. Where is your info from?

triggers etc can be crap.........Well, everything can wear out, but most of the PU snipers have great trigger, only a very few don't. Probably should have been decommissioned.

Izhevsk is easier to fake...............No, there are more things on a Izhevsk PU sniper to look at and tell if it is real or not. I'm not going to tell you what they all are, but some of them are hard to fake. More to fake usually means harder to fake. On a Tula, all you have to fake is the two letters on the top of the barrel shank or start with one of the many "sniper marked" Tula rifles that were never made into a snipe.

There are known serial numbers of PU snipers and that is a place to start................Nope, there are no "blocks" of serial numbers set aside for PU snipers. They may fall into a block of serial numbers, but no complete block. If that is true, then you could take a M91/30 (standard) that is also in that block and fake a sniper with it. Truth is, PU snipers are all over the place with serial numbers and some of them fall into a cluster. But nothing you can depend on. Where is your info from?
