March 20, 2012 edition of Shotgun News:

Text of J&G ad, with a photo that looks much like the scope and mount above:

PSL/FPK 4X scope with mount
With side rail
Romanian PSO Style, marked
LPS TIP2, w/rangefinder retical
lightweight aluminum body, extendable
sunshade, mounting clamp that fits PSL/FPK
and some AK siderails, carry pouch
J&G price: $99.95
Two or more $97.50

If these fit my SAR-1, I want one. I do have a birthday coming up soon for those who might need to know..............
five or more $89.95

SA, those are the same as the one on my AK. Just need to confirm how accurate they are out to 300m. Past that, I think the issue will be the x39 round, not the scope.

I mainly put the PSO on my AK, because it was just lying there and looked cool. A better idea would be to get the Kalinka side rail (I owned one once & they are great) and then mount whatever optic you want onto the Weaver rail. I had a red dot on mine.

Thanks! It's just a 'el-cheapo WASR I bought a couple years ago and decided to play with a "black gun" look. This was before I actually built an AR, so I've gotten the whole tacticool thing out of my system pretty much now. The sad thing, is that there's probably more money tied up in aftermarket crap on that AK than what I paid for the original WASR. That MAKO collapsible stock is $100 by itself!

Hell, I didn't know some do not have them. I thought it was a standard part.

FWIW this thread is 6 years old. I think Drago is long gone.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

That LPS / TIP2 scope has a Dragunov 1000m reticle designed for the 7.62x54R round... which you all know. But there is a reason they developed the Simonov 400m reticle specifically for the 7.62x39 round. While you can shoot anything with any reticle, the BDCs, turrets, and etc may not be as effective unless you are shooting what it is designed for. So can you shoot x39 with your Drag reticle - yes. But you'll have to manually compensate more than you should. Purchase a scope with the Simonov reticle instead. Or go with a red dot use the 400m Zero rule.

That is an oldie. I had forgotten that I had owned as WASR-1...... That is the one I sold for $800.00 during the great Obama panic.
