Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

According to their original shipping info...mine should have been here on Friday (2-5 days).....I swear it said it would be at my house that fast, but with their shipping rates I am not going to complain because I am getting over 100lbs of ammo shipped across the US for 10 dollars :chuckles: My SKS ammo cost me like 60 bucks I think, and that was from Texas....

By the way...how much does 1 spam can weigh?

I got in two wooden crates of ammo last week   . Shipping costs were $49.00 for the total. Thats some 1760 rounds plus the neat wood crates  . So shipping was/is like $24.50 for each crate (2 :spam2: cans in each crate) or like $ 12.25 each can.......sort of. :chuckles:

I got four more spam cans coming, it's going right into storage for a future day when my ammo supply is lower. Next will be another 5000 rounds of .22LR, I burned up a lot last summer.

After lugging one around a gun show one day, I went home and weighed it. Came in just under 40lbs. Caveat - that's on a cheap digital scale.

YUP!...........If I spend a full day at the range its damn likely I will shoot 100 rounds of 7.62X54R. 1/2 day is an easy 45 to 50. That breaks down to a short lifespan for 440 :spam2:........and THAT is with one rifle!

I usually switch between ,my .22lr. Just seems to work out that way. IMHO, NOTHING beats constant practice with a good shooting .22lr. :2cents:

All four cans are going into storage, I bought an additional 100 rounds to test fire in one of the M39's. 440 rounds would not last the day when I am shooting with friends. I bought a 500 round brick of CCI .22 to try, if I like it I will order 5000 more rounds, I buy .22 in bulk. Bought 100 rounds of the Winchester military buckshot to stash away, been cutting into my supply of late, practicing with the older stuff. I like my defensive ammo to be fresh.

So how quickly did the Copes ammo show up after you ordered it? I ordered two cans on Apr 16th and it hasn't shown up yet. I'm clear out on the West Coast, so I realize shipping via the back of a snail may take awhile.
