got a kick in the balls smiley?

Post by Celt »

I just posted photos (on another forum) of my 35 tula that I believe is an issued 9130(I can't find any refub markings any where) and the only repine so far was...."" bore and metal finish look pretty decent,i can tell is it counterbored? most likely non since its a non refurb should make a nice shooter. what kind of shotgun did you trade? looks like a typical non refurb. any importmarks? did you get the bayonet and pouches too/ id value this at ~ $80

can wait to see the range report! happy shooting

check out this link for everything and more you ever wanted to know about the mosin nagant"
Ouch.35 tula....priceless
So much for the pick me up I was looking for.unlike some people,I can't run out and buy three mosins before I've shot the first one.so with nothing to post,I thought I would try checking out a new forum....how disappointing.ooh well,I thought I did :D pretty well.still do.I have yet to see a beater that looks like mine.all I see are refurbished.don't get me wrong,I love them a well.beautiful rifles.I guess beauty IS in the eye of the beholder

I just tried to follow the topic, and I think that the smiley is not needed. The post itself elicits the effect.

OK i am lost here. What is the deal? :vconfused: Your 35 is a great weapon and i would have bought it in a second. I am not sure if it is refurbed or not but it has an as issued look. Counterboring is a repair of the crown to return it to better accuracy. There are good and not as good rifles all over the place but i have not sen a bad one yet. Most of us can't buy many rifles right now so don't feel bad. I am a broke retired guy with a "43 refurb budget" (SA) I search out the deals and try to make good buys that interest ME. All though i would not turn down someof the stuff Martin has if he went on a thinning spree.
So What is the problem here anyways? :?:

A rifle is worth what that particular person will pay for it. Some are priceless and some are expendable. If it is worth $80 bucks to that person does not denote the real or supposed worth of any rifle. Obviously yours is wrth more then 80 shamoliens to you. I have paid more then that for almost all of mine as the going rate here is higher. Still some of the ones i have are worth more to me then others (although i can't seem to part with any). I would love to buy some of JYDs or Martins or the other guys's rifles for $80 (that is all they are worth anyway). But that is unlikely. Collect for yourself and make yourself happy :D and you will be happy. :D Do not worry what other people say your stuff is worth as it is relative to a lot o things. :D

Don't sweat it celt. Forums are full of folks who pop up just to say "typical refurb" or similar. Or don't bother saying a thing at all... when it take a bit of effort to post a thread with pics. You just have to resign yourself to the fact that there's probably some lurkers who liked your pics

That is why I rarely comment on the other forums and very rarely post my finds. One of them I read but never post.
