Privi Partizan 7.62x54r Soft Point

Post by tjtM38 »

Anyone tried any Privi Partizan 7.62x54r 150 GRSP ammo? I was looking to get some more brass to reload, so I shot a box of 20 rounds today in a M44 and was very pleased. It shot similar to Russian milsurp ammo out of my gun; about 4 MOA at 100 yards. I don't hunt with the Mosin Nagant, but this looks like a good load for those who are considering it.

I was able to get several boxes of the brass from some guys shooting near me on one of my range trips. I plan on loading it over the next couple of weeks to see how it reloads.

You know, I screwed up; it is 180 grain. I am so used to shooting my Hornady #3131 174 grain, that I forgot this is a slightly heavier bullet. I stand corrected. :redfaced:

Just curious what you are paying in your area for the white box? I bought a box today after shooting; it is not cheap at 21.95. Think I'll plink with my Bulgarian and shoot the white box on rare occasions when I need some brass to reload.

It was $22-23 bucks. I had to shoot it though as the range i was at i coud not use steel core surplus. I have a few different ones for the brass so i can reload them later. I think the price has gone up to $24 recently.

White box Win is 24.95, next to it is Sellier & Belliot for 21.95. Same round, different price, Prvi is 20.99, thank goodness for surplus
