How's this for a price for a couple of carbines
I found these on the Williams Gun Sight I can't believe the prices they are listed for and the descriptions either.

Very good price, and I assume you bought them right away.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

They wouldn't sell the other one to my C&R because it was not dated....................................

If they knew the guidelines they would do it probably. Have you ever tried to read any of the guides that come with the C&R license? It would scare off even a seasoned book worm.

It really isn't all that hard to figure out. On page 27 of ATF publication 5300.11 (Firearms Curios and Relics list) The BATF clearly list All Mosin Nagant models and varients, mfd. after 1898. You would think a big-time gun seller could figure that out. (and before 1898 it sure as hell doesn't matter) But, no arguments were accepted. "It is their policy; no date, no C&R)

Maybe fax them a copy of that page. I find it odd they won't send a Mosin to a C&R holder.SA1911a1 wrote:bunkysdad wrote:If they knew the guidelines they would do it probably. Have you ever tried to read any of the guides that come with the C&R license? It would scare off even a seasoned book worm.

I would be curious to see that M38. Wonder if the date is to faint to read or maybe scrubbed??

Rules like that makes me want to open the can of whoop ass!
Re: How's this for a price for a couple of carbines
Well I glad someone got them as I haven't the money to spare until I get my CZ52 from them, soon I hope. Problem is they have a few Walther P1's and a couple of P38's as well. I'd love to buy everyone of them and the Mosins as well. They also have a pretty nice SMLE sporter so I have to avoid that impulse as well. I have over the years got a few deals at this place such as my 98/29 last year for $250 and my M39 for $169 so I keep a close watch on them. Wish I had the extra bucks I'd have bought both of these. I wont go into the Mausers they have.
Steve, whom did you talk to at the shop? IF I may suggest the guy that runs the gun counter is also named Steve, you could also talk to Dan or Terry also they own the place. I always deal with Jordan if he's in. I tell you what I'll do I plan to go by there tomorrow and if the other carbine is still there I'll talk to Jordan myself and see what the issue is.

Steve, I went into Williams today and had a look around, the carbines are both gone (we know who got one of them). I talked to Steve but he wasn't aware of what I was talking about so I didn't get a good answer for you. Their site still shows both the rifles but they are gone.
