So that 6.5x55 Swedish practice ammo with the 9 grain bullet seems to be in abundance when compared with the normal 6.5x55 ball round. NOW what if, and im going out on a limb here, I were to take the 9 grain bullet pull it and the powder out, then reload it with the proper bullet and powder... would this work?
Ive got a bullet/powder scale here at the house and a good supply of the practice ammo. I'd like to actually shoot full sized loads again though.

Don't know, I never thought about doing it, It's not a crimped blank so I guess it would be possible.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

It would be a good solution to provide ammo for the AG42 except for the corrosive primers, the AG is one I like to shoot non corrosive ammo in, they were known for erosion issues even with the B upgrades. Fine for the bolt rifles however.

Even though I don't own an AG42 (darn it) I still would like to have a nice abundance of ammo for my m96. I did some research online and apparently a few guys have done it with pretty good results.
So I was thinking a 120 grain bullet over 45.0 grains of IMR 4831? Found that load online, just curious to see if any of you guys have a better recipe.

Is that considered a minimum or close to minimum load? That is some good powder.

Not sure exactly, but I heard it was a fairly common load that performs well on deer sized game.
