Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
My favorite SkS is the 53 Izhevsk because its worth the most money. But my favorite shooter is second to none the M59 Yugo War Horse.

Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
That's a hard question. Some of mine are "prettier" than others, but some other's are more rare. I'd have to say, since I'm an Ex-DDR SKS collector, that my '49 Ex-DDR is my favorite, plus she's nice to look at, too. I doubt I'll ever see another one, or if I do, be able to realistically afford it.

I only have one a Yugoslav M59/66 with 30 round magazine and gas shutoff grenade launcher with blade bayonet. I've rigged the bayonet to use like a bi-pod with the 30 round magazine resting on the ground in the prone position to help stabilize.Works well in soft surface like tree branch etc.Made a little ring that slides to lock at right angle around base of blade to make rigid. Still working on ring options to make more rigid. Can always dry my socks on grenade launcher.JGC

I'll post a picture of them all soon I promise. Been waiting for my C&R for almost 11 weeks. Can't wait to see what I end up with. I payed extra for hand pick. JGC
Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
I will never know if the handpick option is a good thing or not.
I have always asked for it and have been really pleased with what i have bought so i will probly still do it every time. Can't wait to see what you got.
I was on SOGs sight yesterday and they put up some more B barrels in the M39s. If i hadn't blown my money already i would of got another of those. And they still have VKTs too. Haven't been to aim lately.

Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
Honestly, I'm glad I don't have a C&R. I'd be so much more in debt, plus it leaves more for you guys!
Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
Thanks Jeff You are a great help.
If you would hold up your end of the buying there would be less for the rest of us to buy and i would have more money
(to buy more guns

It was one of the first imported and cost 179.99 at the time and only ammo available then was lapua commercial from Finland. It shoots excellent . Ill post a pic its the top one in the photo

Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?
The one in my safe. Which I just got a couple of weeks ago. She was buried in cosmoline. After a couple of hours cleaning it off, I discovered I had an unissued, all numbers matching, unfired, 99% overall condition Norinco. Nary a scratch, ding, discoloration or blemish. It is my favorite because it is the only one I have at the moment. I unfortunately sold my Russian SKS about 11 years ago after having for it about 6. If only I had known....

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Re: What is YOUR favorite SKS?

My favorite is my 1970 M59/66A1 it was my first SKS and it is a darn accurate rifle. Won't keep up with the old mans rem 700 in 7mm mag but it definitely tries.
