Does anyone know where you can get some shims for the M90/31's or how to make them? I'm interested in experimenting with one of my Mosin's when I actually get a chance to fire one of them. I've read that sometimes it will make a difference and other times it won't as every gun is different. I didn't want to mess around with adding glass bedding to any of my stocks.
If you were to make these at home, what kind of materials would you need (especially to make the curved shim for the tang)? Thanks!

Re: Shims for M90/31
You can make them out of soda or beer cans, Or maybe some thin cork in certian spots will work. I took apart a Polish M44 and it had a thin piece of wood for the whole length of the handguard.

For the action, nothing beats soda or beer cans as desdem12 mentions. For the barrel channel try some thin cork material or business card stock.

I cut up a soda can for the shims I made worked out well.

Sounds like some great ideas. Thanks everyone!
The cork sounds interesting, and I think I'll try that first when/if my Mosin needs some shimming. I'm sure I'll end up experimenting with a few different things in the end, though.
