More like $15 for 135...As for the gong, surplus rounds will more than likely go right through it.

Heh, on that one they better. That's not a real gong. Read the text below. It's a self healing gong.

Frozen water filled jugs, milk or 2 liter work. The backside of tie plates under rails makes a very satisfying clang also. In the fall, over ripe cantaloupes and watermelon can get interesting.

A guy named Zach over in......Oh, you mean inanimate targets? Paper plates work for me because I am too cheap to buy real targets.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Yup! Me too. The only targets I've spent money on is the exploding targets I have. What I have for targets is the feed bags they sell here. Deer hunting is huge here and the feed stores and well everyone sells bags of corn here, even walmart. Most if not all of them have a picture of a deer on them with a bullseye on it. I have lots of them around here. Been saving them for a while. Other than that I shoot whatever I have around here that looks like it may be neat to shoot.

I got a 55 gallon steel drum out back, when I get good and pissed off I go out and hit the drum with my .357, lot of holes in that drum.

He's got a nice setup. It looks like he's shooting into a hill, like he's at the bottom of a valley.
I like his vids, but IMO they could all be half as long. It's better than watching some goofball who can't speak though.

Cheap - get a case of water bottles usually less than $4 for 24 and throw them in the deep freezer.......Exploding ice is cool!

Clays my favorite target. Clays are the target that keeps giving, when busted up with the milsurps we break out the scoped .22's and finish off all the small pieces.

I like to shoot loooooooong distance, with repeated hits. Targets, buckets, 2 liter soda bottles, wood chucks, cinder blocks, doesn't matter so long as I am consistantly hitting.

fruit

ask the produce manager what they do with the old produce and you may be able to score the fruit they're going to throw out. Leaves a lot of options with fruit of varying size and colors. And it's biodegradable so you don't really have to clean it up.

Yes, total and absolute shit, I would not sell one even if I was to have one come in still running and that has yet to happen!

We used to make our own "exploding" targets. Put some flour into a sandwich bag and seal it. Place the bag between two paper plates and staple around the perimeter. You don't get a big explosion of course, but you do get little puffs of dust. Usually they last a few rounds too. At the end of the day, it's fun to put a round of #6 12 ga. into them from 5 yards. Then you get a bigger puff :)
