I just bought some ammo from Finland of another individual and the person offered to also sell me some armor piercing rounds.
I asked if I can see the rounds in question so I can identify and make an offer for them. Without looking too much, I took a guess at being ShKAS ammo without guessing is there is red lacquer at the bottom on the primer. Fast forward to now, it is ShKAS ammo(most?). Each of the rounds dont seem to have the same age wear for the painted tip and some are and some do not seem to have the red lacquer at the bottom on the primer. Can anyone help me ID the rounds? I don't have a good camera just using my phones camera at the moment. I was also looking closely at the tip of each of these rounds and I'm not sure if on 2 or so of them they have very dark purple paint or just black?
Thanks! Worst case I guess they aren't real?

Re: Can anyone help me ID this ammo?
I am not a collector of ammunition other than to shoot it so I am not sure. Our stuff, USA, black tip is armor piercing, the red stuff on the primer is sealer, our stuff has used that also. What I remember of the Soviet ammo was silver was match, yellow was heavy ball, green was tracer, and for most military's I have heard of black is AP. It's just cheap paint faded and chipped with age. Until you know for sure don't fire it. It could be incendiary, explosive tip, or something else that is best not fired on a public range.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

It looks like that might be API (Armor Piercing Incendiary) ammo. Possibly aircraft machinegun ammunition. It's in the chart here: https://www.igun.cz/MosinID/MosinAmmoID01.htm
