Railroad watch collection

Post by awalker1829 »

Just a random assortment of railroad approved watches and some watch chains. I’ve been collecting railroad watches off and on for over twenty years. Several of my watches are at the watchmaker for repairs or service. The majority of my collection is made up of watches manufactured by the Hamilton Watch Company and the American Waltham Watch Company. Waltham was the first major American watch manufacturer and was formed in the mid 1850s. Hamilton was formed in 1894.

That is awesome. I love old time pieces, just have no way to display them. At least not until I get the garage enclosed aka Man-Caved.

I'm pretty damn impressed with your collection and knowledge on them.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

The watches shown are only a part of the collection. I have several that are at the watchmaker and a number of others not pictured.
