News & Great News.......

Post by ffuries »

News: Officially been diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus today
News: Officially been diagnosed with GERD today
News: Officially been diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia today.
News: The severe back pain was a kidney stone migrating, and why I was passing blood.
News: My Sciatic pain, resolved without the need for injections.
News: The pinched nerve in my neck took awhile to resolve, but didn't need intervention.

Great news: Biospy came back benign/negative for Esophageal Cancer.
Great news: Kidney stone (5 - 6 mm in size) passed on the 24th of Nov.
Great news: It passed pretty damn easily and painlessly once it was in the bladder, shot out like a bullet.
Great news: Still Bladder Cancer free (12 years now).
Great news: 2 years for next Bladder Scope.
Great news: 5 years for next Colonoscopy.
Great news: 3 years for next Endoscopy.
Great news: Since all this started in July, I've managed to get the unexplained weight gain (210 to 255 in 90 days) from back in 2019 off. I'm now officially back down to 210 lbs, which means at 6'1 I'm just a little fat now instead of obese.

Other news: We're going to try Protonix (Proton-pump inhibitor) for controlling the GERD.

No answer on what was causing the dizzy spells. Cardiological, Neurological, and Audiological ruled out. After about 2 months of several episodes a day, they just quit. Same thing happened in 2009.

So as of right now I'm staying on this side of the dirt for the foreseeable future.

Better news: CINC Household has just informed me that the wonderful healthy meal she has created for dinner is done. So time for me to go eat.....

Good to hear you're on the mend, took off the tonnage, not as fucked up as you thought. The dizzy spells are because of age, or your neighbor is smoking a shit ton of weed and the smoke is drifting to your house. Keep up the improvement.  :vcool:
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I had some digestive problems a few years ago and after an upper endoscopy had symptoms of acid reflux or gerd. I took the protonix (proton pump inhibitor) for about two years. Now I just take over the counter stuff (Pepcid AC) for acid control. I have hear the drug is one of those that has some moderate long term effects, but I have a friend who has taken in for 10 years with no problems. I tolerated it well; think you will too. Good luck and get better. :P

Didn't help that's for sure, but the issues started when I was weighing in at 185......Hauling equipment that weights as much as you do because you think you are superman, comes back to bite you when you get older.

Hence when I say "If I knew then, what I know now, I wouldn't have done the things then, that I am paying for now....." it's the honest truth!
