Serious contemplation about the practicality of owning

Post by SA1911a1 »

more than two hand guns.

I was looking through my handgun stash today and, waning philosophical, I began to wonder why a man with only two hands needs more than two pistols or revolvers.

Einstein, one of my heroes, believed that solutions to the most difficult problems could best be approached by what he termed a "thought experiment." That is how he came up with the Special and General theories of Relativity. So I sat down, tried to clear my mind, and really thought about it. The most creative possible solution that I could come up with even the most talented, well endowed and well trained athlete could not possibly use more than five at one time, so why in the world do I have so many? Of course, I am no Einstein, but I know there are some pretty smart people around here that could help me come to a complete solution to question. :brows:

You need more than two because you have the ability to set them down and pick up others. One might argue that you need at least two or multiples of 2.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Your right, you don't need more than two, or less so pack up the rest and send them to me. :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I love my Glock 17 Gen 3, it's my favorite handgun that I have. I have several other Glocks but the G17 would be the last one I'd sell. My purpose for owning a handgun is for self-protection. I'm not a handgun collector but they are a great tool to have and it's good to have some options to choose from.
