Hi everyone!
I picked up this super nice Finnish M27 Mosin Nagant the other day. It's been fitted into a M28/30 stock, likely by Finnish armorer's when no M27 stocks were available. The fore end of the stock was reinforced with metal plates, and modified to use the M27 nose cap. The bolts serial number matches the rifle, and the bolt connector still has the "wings". Sadly the bolt connector doesn't match the rifles serial number. The trigger and sear are the correct pinned together variety for an M27. It's made on a 1915 Tula reciever.
Anyway, on to the photos:

All in all, this gun is in great condition. One issue was the barrel bands and screws, which were totally stripped out. Considering originals are pretty much unobtainable, I improvised with some 8-32 machine screws from the local hardware store. I just retapped the holes in the barrel bands, and painted the screws black.

A very nice example

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
