I can't tell by those photos. Empire has a solid reputation and Dennis surely knows what he is selling. I am a little shocked by the price, but I haven't been in a buying mode for several years now, so that may be what they are going for. I went to the site to see if I could get more detail, but I did not see the listing, so it may all be academic anyway.

If that's the current asking price for that then my Hungarian 52 is 10 large. Inflation, it's not just hitting gasoline and diesel fuel.

That is the going price (Retail).
Dennis knows what he has and he posts if it is fake.
I'd trust him.

Fake snipers have never been well received on this board. If someone made a brand new 91/30 PU it would be just another commercial sporter, but these fakes are butchered up pieces of history. The idea of paying that much money for fake history is beyond my understanding.

Jim, what he is showing is a real PU sniper. $1,00 is what they are going for now. The $1,99 Dennis is asking is a little high but, at least you know it is real.

Isn’t scope # fake? Also 1942. Looks like modern Ukrainian build.

good catch. Most "Progressive" scopes start with a No. then the number.
The NY is always suspect. But, I,m just not sure about this number.
I can't believe Dennis would not know with it in his hands.
He has sold fake's before (I think) BUT always has said it was so..... I think.
I'd like to see the AD that went with it first. Without the AD, you don't know what he is selling.

IMHO that is a reproduction PU, of the same variety that came out of the Ukraine about 12/18 months ago. Would love to see if the rear sight is pinned at 300m

Second from the bottom. He specifies that it’s Ukrainian, but not a repro or fake. Also the $.Darryl wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 10:48 amgood catch. Most "Progressive" scopes start with a No. then the number.
