Bersa 85 Help.....

Post by ffuries »

Our older neighbor we are staying with had me do some maintenance on a Bersa Model 85 someone gave him. Wasn't stored properly (I think it was left in a nylon holster) so it has squiggly lines in the finish now.

Anyways she is currently broken down and taking a long oil bath. The pistol is missing one of the grip screws and I've exhausted my sources searching for one. Anyone have any suggestions or a spare one laying around....?

Some pictures of the gun before I broke her down, you can see how the finish is ruined.

Have you tried Numrich? Maybe SARCO ?
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Numrich, SARCO, Ebay, Gunbroker and nearly two dozen other web sites, have all turned up zilch. Supposedly the screw is interchangeable among the following Bersa models.

Bersa 83 cal 380
Bersa 85
Bersa 383
Bersa 383A
Bersa Thunder 22
Bersa Thunder 32
Bersa Thunder 380
Bersa Thunder series 95

I might have found a site that has ONE on hand at $2.00, but they have a minimum $10.00 order, after looking for an hour to see what else I could get, I settled on a spare firing pin for the CZ-52 pistol.

Just waiting to hear back from them, to see if it's actually still in stock/on hand.

Here's a shot of the screw, every screw i see online is different than the screws in it.
