1938 S/42 Luger

Post by Ridin the Tide »

Recently picked up this 1938 S/42 Luger. All serial numbers match on every piece of the weapon but unfortunately the magazine serial numbers do not. Can’t wait to put a few rounds thru it.

Nice.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I have one "almost" like that. But the link serial numbers don't match.
It should be S92.
But, I bought it as a shooter and I only paid about $450 for it years ago.

Yours is worth considerable more then that these days.

That's a tough one to find in our day and age. Congratulations!!! Magazine mismatch isn't bad at all!
