Well it's that time of year again....The dogs are exploding (Blowing their summer coat for winter). Our female was laying out in the yard sunning, while out there she just starting rolling around in the yard and this is the result. Mind you she had been brushed 20 minutes earlier.
Can't wait for them to be done blowing their coats. Vacuuming is a 3 times a day ritual right now and it still looks like we hadn't vacuumed in months.
Time of year again.....

Re: Time of year again.....
The dog exploded. Got a friend who's a super neat freak, I would pay money to see that dog go into his house and lose that much fur. My friend would lose his mind, we would have to call the nice young men in the clean white coats to come and take him away.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I can loan them to you so you can bring them by your friend for a visit. I kid you not, clumps of it comes off them as they walk around. Heaven forbid they scratch themselves because you end up with a furnado.Junk Yard Dog wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 5:48 pm The dog exploded. I'll vacuum, put the vacuum cleaner away, walk back into the living room and it looks just like the yard picture. Both dogs just sit there looking at me, with a I didn't do it look on their faces.

Re: Time of year again.....
But do they even need a winter coat down there?
Re: Time of year again.....
LOL sometimes we get cool weather down here. This is what I was greeted by one morning when I walked out of Base Billiting in early 2009. Yeap it's reading 17 degrees Fahrenheit (Ambient temperature) in Sunny Florida, then add in the wind chill factor.....It took longer to thaw out and warm up the Jeep than the drive to the other side of the base took.
That cup of coffee that I sat on the hood while I got into the Jeep, started it up to thaw, and took pictures was ice cold when headed back in to warm up.....BTW that's not a shitty paint job/clear coat, that's ice.
