Elevation threads for PU bracket

Hello everybody, I am new here. I need to re tap my elevation threads for me PU bracket. But for the life of me I cant find what thread they are. I know they arent m6 x.75, however someone told me that they think they are old British Standard Whitworth threads but im not sure if thats true. Does anyone know what tap i need to buy to re tap my threads, thanks.

According to PU mount drawings they are 6x0.5
