Henry County Gun Club Vintage Sniper Rifle Shoot

Post by Miller Tyme »

Spent this past weekend in Paris Tenn. attending the Henry County Gun Club Vintage Sniper Rifle World Championship. Had 15 teams shoot 6 different target packages 3 of which where either timed or speed packages. Spent Friday practicing with my partner and trying to dial in his new PU sniper without luck ( scope issues) so he used my back-up SOV and I shot my ZFK. While we didn't finish in the near the top we did enjoy our selves and afterwards got to run a few rounds through a PKM and a Solothern 20mm anti tank rifle.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Andy and the guys put on a good shoot.
Real gun control is the ability to hit the target.

It was a great time! My partner and I finished...well...somewhere below Miller Tyme, but had a ton of fun. If any of you all are within a reasonable drive, check out one of their monthly shoots. You won’t regret it.

LOL, I got beat by 2 rifles I owned, one was my partners SOV, and the other I sold to Crash, who was part of the 3rd place team.

Now I have to find out why the windage on my ZFK's scope keeps drifting after each shot.

The past 8 months has not been kind to my scopes, especially the High Turret which has made 2 trips to the shop for repairs. :bonk:

That is very cool.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

C. S. Lewis
