Swedish Mauser M41/B

Post by DFR »

I got this Samco Import in the early 2000's. I loaded some Berger 140gr VLD's and shot a 100 yrd cloverleaf group. Dang thing was better than some of my high dollar benchrest rifles, so I cleaned it and never shot it since! Gun safe Queen... (climate controlled)

Do you see any issues with it?? I think I was getting close to max pics MB so I did not show it, but the Bottom metal matches the butt metal and not the scope mount/action/bolt..

The handguard metal matches the action/mount/bolt..sorry for all the pics..sort of...

Looks good to me. :Drool1:
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Looks righteous to me except for the sling. Most m41/Bs don't match except for the bolt and receiver. Is there a number on a small plate in the middle of the mount? That's the last time the Swedish armorers rebuilt it. Should be a crown with an S right behind the trigger guard stamped on the stock. Matching base, mount and can a big plus. Shot one in vintage sniper matches, they're hard to beat.

Can't really tell from the pic but the bolt should be blued.
Real gun control is the ability to hit the target.

A precision murder weapon. It looks like it needs to murder. Kill :furious: Kill :shifty: Kill.
