Re: Watching them Babies
A good source told me that PW Arms has or soon will have M1 Carbines for sale they imported. Note: PW Arms is a wholesaler so no direct sales, keep your eye on your favorite retail seller.

Ain't that the truth. Not too long ago I was at my favorite gun store here in our town and they had some 91/30s priced for +$400. I understand supply and demand, and that these are surplus rifles so naturally prices will increase, but the way 91/30s increased, I did not see that coming as quickly as it did. I wish I kept the ones I had instead of trading them off years ago. I have two 91/30s now and I don't see myself purchasing anymore with the current price on them.Junk Yard Dog wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 1:11 am No, has to be two or three grand each in a world were a 91/30 refurb is bringing 600 or more. Or a box of shotshells brings two hundred.

I bought my first hi-power, a Rem. 760 carbine 30-06 for $75, about 50 yrs. ago. M-1 carbines and 03'A3 were in every town for about the same money or less. Gun prices have risen steadily ever since, never dropped.Tula44 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 10:40 pmAin't that the truth. Even with a fifty year inflation the prices were still not bad, gas and Big Mac's under a buck, even under half a buck. I recall my grandfather turning the air blue when gas hit .59 a gallon during the '73 oil embargo.steelbuttplate wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 7:03 amI bought my first hi-power, a Rem. 760 carbine 30-06 for $75, about 50 yrs. ago. Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Yes, and with time they will continue to increase more and more. It will be interesting to see where prices will be 10-15 years from now.steelbuttplate wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 7:03 amI bought my first hi-power, a Rem. 760 carbine 30-06 for $75, about 50 yrs. ago.
