Correct me if I'm wrong here or got it back-ass-backwards....

The plum color was caused bad chemical mix/incorrect temperatures during bluing. The straw color was a result of over polishing and the high temperatures during bluing.
Absolutely. It's of little concern to me. No one made a "special" end ring for that scope. Why would they? Like you said, probably something in production.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Reddish color is typical to some factory No.297 scopes. Likely it is caused by metal composition (with Silicon presnce), because during regular reblue they remain reddish (like SVT bolts)
Bolt is factory No.74 Izhevsk production, just rough welding job
