Found a Swedish M 1867/89 Rolling Block made by Carl Gustaf in 1875 converted in 1892 to 8X58R centerfire. It's still in the military configuration and has the unit disc on the buttstock.
All the information out there is a little confusing. I read where they were originally chambered in 12.17x42R RF and then some were converted to 12.7x44R CF for civilian shooting competitions, and some were converted to 8X58R CF.
Were the 8X58R CF conversions done for/on weapons for military use?
