Got my second Moderna shot today

This is the one that is supposed to make you feel lousy for a couple of days. The worst thing about it is that the chip is interfering with my cell phone. I should have got it in my other arm.....;)

I am damn glad to get that behind me. Our county health dept. really came through. From the time I rolled up to the parking lot, till driving away was 24 minutes, 15 of that wait time to see if any negative reactions are going to happen.

I will fill you all in on just how that next day reaction works for me tomorrow.

This was a banner day for my wife, we had to be at her doctor, 40 miles away at 7:30 this morning for her to get her monthly shot in both eyes, then on to another town to get the Covid shot. I need a nap....

Glad to hear yall are done with it. Being I'm only 54 I've got a while before I'm allowed to get it.

65 and up group now, probably followed by the 55 and up group, then I'll be eligible. Even with my health issues, my docs aren't doing paperwork to get it sooner for some reason.

I get my second Moderna shot on Monday. Got an appointment before work. I’ll get my walking in for the day-walk to the convention center to get the shot, then walk to work. Of course, the convention center is less than five blocks from my house and work is only three blocks away. If I open my bedroom curtains, I can see the courthouse from here.

A nice double handful of fresh brains could help that, but from your description of the neighbors you may have to shamble to the next neighborhood to find any worth gobbling up.

I'm scheduled for my first one on Tuesday. I'm 25 years old but I'm an essential worker. I just have to show them a pay check stub.

So, 12 hours after the shot, at 2:00 in the morning, my wife woke up with flu-like symptoms. Chills, fever, body aches and the rest. I on the other hand, slept through the night and woke up feeling fine, no problems. The theory is that the flu-like symptoms will pass in 24 to 48 hours.

While she is debilitated, crashed out in the recliner, I have a choice. For once I could get even with her for all of her real or imagined sins, while she is too weak to fight, or I could wait on her hand and foot. If you don't hear from me again, you will know I chose the first path. (I think she keeps a model 36 in her recliner, but I have never had the courage to search) After some consideration, I think I will go make her some soup......;)

Shit, now your worry is did she get infected with Covid just before getting the shot, and is symptomatic now, or is it a reaction from the shot. It's always something. Hope she gets over that soon.

Yea, when I feel like shit and some cheerful, and healthy fuck is bouncing around feeling just super chipper I like to think about how their head would look like splattered all over the wall. Walk softly around the wife with the hand canon, and try not to look too well.

My grandparents, who are 94 and 89, recently had their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine and had no negative reactions at all.

Just got my second shot of the Moderna vaccine today. I was supposed to get it Monday, but the storms back east played havoc with the vaccine distribution. Got in and out of the clinic today. We'll see what side effects (if any) I get.

Now they are telling us Moderna folks that we may need another "booster shot" to cover the African strain of the virus.

I am on some list located in the free world...but yesterday, the county shot center got crushed with all those who showed for their second shots...record keeping was questionable and nobody had the same list....waaaaay too many showed up...........

Sometimes they’ll make an exemption for people with serious medical issues. My brother in law younger than you got his because of a kidney transplant.
