Baby Mosin

Post by ModelAUZI »

Not sure if anyone had posted about this before but I was at Greentop gun store in VA and saw this. It's a .22 single shot.

No, I have a Tula single shot .22 made in 1934, but it doesn't look like a Mosin.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Saw one at our last gunshow (last weekend), the vendor wanted $450.00 for it. Couldn't wrap my head around the price, as I don't know what they go for.

They are pricey but neat. Seem to run about 350 where I am. I had bought my son a regular Crickett 22 when he was little, "had" to get my daughter this version. :D

they've been available in Canada for a couple months. $450 sounds about right, the one's I've seen up here are about $600 canadian which would translate pretty close with exchange and duties. They are apparently the first of a series of Milsurp "tributes" .. if I recall whatever I read (could be wrong here) there are plans for a K98 and a Lee Enfield.

$350 at the local gun show last weekend in my area. Too pricey for me but congrats on a really cool little acquisition.

They should go ahead and make it a baby PU sniper . Those would sell for $350 per :popgun:

I picked up a WZ48 single shot trainer a couple years ago that's patterned on the M38, cost less than that crikket does.

One thing to keep in mind. It is not a collectable either. (well, not yet anyway".
If you are like Jim and have every variation available in a Mosin collection, then it might make sense.
But remember, it IS NOT A MOSIN. For that kind of money, you can find a pretty sweet .22
