Hello,
Yep, you are 100% correct there again. Boss.
Damn, that's right. It's the wooden stake driven through the heart for the blood suckers... to kill them, Correct?. And, they don't like the Holly Water or The Cross . It's all coming back too me now....
We just have werewolves up here: No blood suckers, they live down in southern California...
But, I'll be ready now for those stinking Chupacabras if they make it up this far... I've got plenty wooden arrows and stakes. I'm Just, short on some of that Holly Water.... I wonder, if I can find that on Gun Broker. Because, Amazon most likely has that Chinese knock-off Holly Water.... :D

Court Administration just put out additional information on the local COVID vaccination schedule with an update to the critical employee group that can now make appointments for vaccination. They have added the category EMPLOYEES IN COUNTY COURTS/COUNTY ATTORNEYS OFFICES. I immediately went to the registration site and now have an appointment for 2/20.

Hello,
Well, the speedy wheels of progress...
Good, for you. For, getting an appointment (one month out?). :vconfused: Why not. now; this week?.
I can get an appointment with the DMV in less time than that. And, we all know how organized they are.
Looks like, it's going too be a very long time for some of us...at that rate.

The County invited my wife and I to a sticking today. Moderna round one is in the arm. The nice lady asked us a few questions, and told here I had a question; I asked, "Are y'all pretty sure that that microchip won't hang up in my heart stents?" She got very wide eyed, under that mask, for a second until she realized I was pulling her leg. My shot was painful, my wife's wasn't. From the time we rolled up it took one hour, including the 30 minutes "observation time."

I thought the way that the did the program was rather awkward, In that they identified who we were and then we parked the car and the needle teams came to the cars rather than the cars driving to the team, but it worked. We just beat the rain by a half hour, so timing worked well.

Yesterday, I read that some famous Rabbi is claiming the the vaccine will make you gay...I intend to watch some manly movie tonight and see if I get any stirrings from the lead actor. I sure hope not, it would cost a fortune for me to replace my whole wardrobe. I will let you all know how that turns out, but 20 minutes after the shot I was still watching the cute butts on the women, not the men, so maybe I am immune. :D

Seriously, I am damn happy to have received the shot and I am looking forward to round II in three weeks.

Glad yall got yours.....Still waiting I'm in the 54 age range so I have to wait. Even with my health issues, unless one of my doctors says I need it sooner. So it'll be a few months before I can stucked.

CINC Household is only 49, she'll be 50 in March, so she'll wait even longer than me probably. Bay County keeps putting information out, but it's all based on the amount of vaccines they receive. So they have no set schedule, it's a day by day thing.

Steve, what is this follow up I'm hearing about this week for the first time ? Second shots and booster shots.... I thought it was a one time deal. My wife got hers through the school system 2 weeks ago. So did my SIL and now she's home on lock down as she and the whole family has the virus. This crap is landing all around me it seems and things are looking to get worse in my area.

Not Steve, but I've heard and have read it's a two shot series. Don't know if there will be an annual booster though.

We're having or had an issue with Vacine Tourism here in Florida, with more than 43,000 out-of-state vaccines have been distributed in the Sunshine State, thus far.

From what we are told here in Ohio if you get the Pfizer vaccine it is a two-shot deal. If you get the one from Moderna it is a one-shot vaccine. I haven't heard anything about a yearly shot or any booster ones. We are currently giving the vaccine to 80-year-olds and up and special needs. Starting the 25th we go to 75 and up. The main problem here is we don't have enough vaccines to even cover the first phase much less any following ones.

I stand corrected. The CDC says," Both the Moderna and the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines require two shots: a priming dose, followed by a booster shot. The interval between Moderna doses is 28 days; for the Pfizer vaccine, it’s 21 days."

There was a big change here in Tucson today. About 10AM the county announced that the vaccination site at the Tucson Convention Center had extra vaccine doses available and that they would take eligible walk ups on a first come-first served basis without appointments. City and county HR offices notified their eligible departments and those of us who could literally dropped what we were doing and made a beeline for the convention center.

The lines were long, but the site was well organized and well managed. The first line was to be screened. Once screened, they gave us surgical masks to wear in place of or over our cloth masks. Then we went to the end of the second line to get the forms. At the head of that line, we filled out our form, then got back in line to hand our form in. Once we handed our form in, we were directed to a health care worker who gave us our information packets and vaccination card. Then we got in a short vaccination line and went to the next available vaccination station. There they filled out the card, put a time sticker on us and did the injection. Each station had three staffers to keep the time needed to administer the vaccination to a minimum. Then we were directed to the waiting room and made to remain there for fifteen minutes (to insure that we did not have allergic reactions). It took me nearly four hours to get through the process, but it was worth it. While I was in line, Tucson Fire Department and Pima County had employees passing out water bottles and snack bars to the folks in line.

My vaccine was the Moderna one and the health department will be emailing us with information for the appointments for the second dose. The county had literally only expanded appointments to court employees today, so this was a timely and pleasant surprise.

I actually have to say that I am impressed with how the Arizona Department of Health Services and my local health department are managing the vaccine roll out here so far. They have made major improvements to the portal websites that are used for making appointments, based on user feedback. A big complaint many people had was that it was difficult to find days that had available appointments. They changed that feature so that it now shows which dates at each vaccination site have open appointments in green. Click on the date and it will show you what times are available. Click on the time you want, confirm your information, click on the “submit” button and you’re done.

I just got my appointment set for my second dose of the Moderna vaccine, so I am very happy about that. Moderna is concerned about the South African virus and is working on a dose to address it, even though the current tests suggest that the current vaccine should be effective in fighting it. So there might be a third booster involved. Still, it’s good to know that the researchers are watching the developments in the field very closely and are ready to act on changes if needed.

Our county did is quite differently. We drove in, they brought us the forms, asked the basic questions, then we were sent to park the car. The sticker teams came to the cars and poked you through the window, then you waited to make sure you weren't going to explode either 15 or 30 minutes depending on how you had answered the questions, after the wait time, they brought you the card and sent you on your way. It looked to me like they were running the staff to death, but it worked good for us old fogies.

My county has drive up vaccinations available, but the available appointments are so far out now that many folks are preferring to forgo the drive up convenience for earlier appointments.
