My son and I did a little shooting yesterday

Post by SA1911a1 »

He left this in my car, and I am struggling with whether I should give it back or not....;) Advice is welcome!

If it were an all steel gun, he wouldn't see it again. Since it is plastic, he still has a chance. ;)

Since he's close family then give it back with a lecture about properly securing one's firearms. It's not like it's a 1911, you don't need it.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Tell him you’ll give it back THIS time. It’s not a 1911 but it’s still a nice gun to have. I’ve got one and the M18-nice shooters for modern handguns.

Ah Hell just hold it for ransom. I'm sure there is something you could get out of him. Maybe cutting up a few of them downed trees.........That'll teach him to leave his firearm behind.

The government sent me a free check to clean up, at least a part of, the property but I plan to spend it on girls, guns and booze and let the termites take care of the trees. I had applied for a small grant and, to my surprise, they granted it. It is my first hand-out and I liked it. I would now apply for unemployment if I wasn't retired! Maybe food stamps. ;)

My chain-sawing days are about over with, I have gotten a lot older, a lot faster, in the last three years.

Maybe it was an early Christmas present?
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!
