Help me with value

Post by SA1911a1 »

Baby Browning, looks great in a paws shop at $500.00 plus tax. Should I as an investment, or not?

Funny thing about Pawn shops. Ask them if they would take $400 and work from there.
Pawn Shop prices are like antique stores, sometimes they put it high and expect a little bargaining.

I wonder what they paid for it?

I have one and it is nice to fire. Much more of an investment gun.

I got it. Probably paid too much. I could only to get him to discount the amount of the sales tax, so I paid $500.00 for it. When you consider shipping and FFL fees if bought on the Bungroper it is not so bad. The little thing works good and looks pretty good. It is a 1996 production piece.

I will say that I caught hell when I field stripped it with the grips off. As I was reassembling it the trigger fell out in my hand followed by the trigger bar. No big deal, right? Wrong. It took me hours to get that trigger bar back in just the right place while working against not one, but two springs.....Oh well, live an learn.

Very nice.
Even if it is a close to the going price, in a few years it will be worth more then you paid for it.
Nice thing about a collectable piece (Browning)

Thank you.

My collection of handguns is not large, but I do have some nice ones.

Really nice looking baby Browning, I have always wanted one, that or a Colt.

Side comment: Best shot I ever pulled of in my life was with a Colt Vest Pocket 1908 .25 acp. Aimed at a tin can 25' away and carefully pulled of a shot, hard to do with the grip safety on this one, 1 second later the bullet hit the can. The can spun around violently and fast until it finally came to a wobbly rest in the same spot with a big dent in the upper left corner. I really made that can angry, the .25 acp round is not even a can stopper.
