My new exercise regimen is binge watching movies in the comfort of my recliner. I have been watching a lot of drug-related series. If Hollywood were to be believed, every gang, every outlaw, every shooting in the US involves machine guns. It got me wondering, just how many gang members use machine guns in their "drug wars." It appears that, at least in this country, machine guns, used in crimes, don't exceed the US use of atomic weapons in wartime by much.
Am I missing something or could you count on your fingers, the numbers of machine gun shootouts in the US since 1934?

Re: Hollywood gun fantasies
I don't know any bangers, but I do know one retired bank robber, several retired...well, lets just say they were part of certain organizations that prefer to remain nameless. Bank robber didn't use a gun at all, he was the driver, he did once use his car to attempt the murder of three Federal officers. The others preferred small and cheap, .22's, .25's, .38's. Guns attract heat, guns are only brought along when they are going to be used to...do stuff. Only a dumbfuck inner city gang banger is stupid enough to strut around with some chrome, or gold plated " 9" stuck down his saggy pants. They have some auto weapons, small ones, or cheap AK's, they only come out when it's time to light up the other guys crack house. These assholes think it's funny to get busted, real professionals know it's much better to fly under the police radar. Nothing gets the attention of Law Enforcement faster than waving an Uzi around, or having a piece fall out of your belt when you lean into a car window to deliver a dime bag. Guns bring heat, so no guns until it's time for guns, then dump them fast.
You do realize that all of Hollywood is BULLSHIT right? Cheap escapist entertainment not intended to mirror reality except in the drug addled minds of the assholes who write that shit.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Here in AZ there are many gangs especially drug gangs that do have fa weapons. They’re favor is the Mac 10. Just across the border in Mexico the drug gangs have all sorts of FA weapons. They’re favorite are AKs. About 2 years ago they killed several woman and five kids in a shoot out. This was part of a large Mormon family group that has been living in Mexico for about 25 years.SA1911a1 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 6:52 am My new exercise regimen is binge watching movies in the comfort of my recliner. Who can forget the Cobray M11-9, the gun that made the 80's roar.
