52 Tula SKS Molot Refurb

Post by Neilselden »

Hi,
I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself.

I've recently bought my first SKS, a Molot exported rifle in excellent condition. And I'm looking forward to learning from the seasoned vets here.

Cheers,
Neil

Post some pics of your rifle. We would like to see it.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Hey,
This is the Molot refurb SKS. Refurb mark appears on the receiver cover. It's in a beautiful laminate stock, and the whole damn rifle looks almost new. The internals show very little wear, and as you'll see, the bore is in great shape. I think the barrel is not chrome lined, but I'm not 100% certain - while I don't see a liner, someone had told me that the BBQ paint from the refurb may be covering it up.
