WHAT!! That’s not what the news, Apple, or celebrities in Hollywood are saying?? Lol. Seriously though, It’s messed up that you can’t rely on any of that stuff for real news and updates.

Agreed. I haven't heard a single news outlet report all deaths involving Covid-19 has dropped to the lowest total since this started. Keep in mind that death total includes people who had stage 4 cancer and had Covid-19 symptoms as well as gunshot victims with Covid-19 symptoms. We have learned how to deal with and treat Covid-19. My guess is those numbers is why Trump doubled down on his statement that The Chinese Virus will just go away.

Here’s some real truth. My parents neighbor had brain cancer. She went into a coma and was rushed to the hospital. She lives with a couple that care for her all day and night. She died and the hospital said she had covid. The two other older people she lived with were very surprised and got tested themselves. Both negative. That counts as a covid death, not the brain cancer.

Yes, Just under 10,000 new cases in Florida today, and just 140 deaths overnight last night. The virus is just a lot of hype meant to hurt Trump.

Yes it is over hyped to try and hurt Trump. The good news is it isn't working. Trump's approval numbers just jumped back up to 50%.

Half of the deaths in Florida have been in long term care facilities. That's 65 deaths out of a population of 21.5M, or 1 out of 330,769 people outside of long term care facilities. How many of the 65 deaths were people with other conditions such as old age, cancer, car accident, gun shot, etc.

At the end of the day the numbers are nowhere near as bad as they are being portrayed. Can it kill yes. Is it as deadly as it was, nowhere near because we have learned how to treat it. The biggest change is keeping people off of Ventilators that they don't need. Secondly the use of hydroxychloriquine, which the media refuses to report that it works.

I will be very surprised if the vaccine is actually effective. I certainly won't be getting in line to take a hastily developed vaccine which has one purpose, enriching the developers of the vaccine. I feel sorry for those who work in in industries or live in countries where the vaccine will be forced on you.

Finns had low levels of infection because they are very isolated and self contained. Also studies have shown sauna and ice bath kills virus. As for vaccine not a chance I am taking a vaccine for a coronavirus that doesnt kill and likely won't work. I also refuse to take flu vaccine. Though I am not anti vax. The rest are ok spread apart. Except chicken pox that one pissed me off that I was forced to have my kids get. They don't get flu vaccine.

Yes, agree but even the CDC numbers are fudged... It's like the old days when I was a programmer - shit in and shit out. They are merely compiling data received from the states. After all, the mandate for many states, if not all, is that any death even without testing and even with a suspicion that the person had CV regardless of what really killed them, the cause of death on the death certificate is required to be CV. Even my wife who died of diabetes and severe heart problems would have been classified as dying from CV. And I would like to compare the deaths from other causes in this report with previous years deaths. I am confident that you would find that the number of other deaths would be significantly lower than previous years. These facts and the fact that reported deaths are down significantly does not support their narrative yet the truth will be apparent. The rash of new cases? Well, testing has increased significantly too and the test produces 80% false positives. Why? Because it is virtually impossible to isolate CV, something the test cannot do. The test captures remnants/markers of previous respiratory infections that mostly all of us experience at least annually. And these remnants can exist in your system for up to 10 years it is said. Expect a "2nd wave" soon and then a 3rd and 4th until most all people will submit. And if you really want to understand the rationale behind the vaccine, just read the first line of the Georgia Guidestones. You will see even more zombies and true deaths as a result of this. Yet, somehow I don't think this will be reported by the MSM. I am reminded of Ephesians 6:12 and John 8:32...

I would suppose that lowering the bodies temperature would slow down the detoxifying process in the body which is what Codid-19 (or viruses in general, at least what we are told about viruses) really are, resulting in fewer markers of the process being seen. I would also suspect that follow-ups would show a rise in these markers, if follow-ups were actually done. Of course, if what they were testing was simply a common cold or a mild flu, then whala, the ice bath worked... But, really don't you need to see and understand the actual source data rather than assuming that someone's conclusions were accurate? I am somehow reminded of the book, "Lying with statistics"....

I wasn't asking any source data, but the conclusions, the studies that capt14k was referring to.

As a matter of fact yes. Studies go back to Spanish Flu. I'll have to find it again.

COVID-19

Post by capt14k »

I can't find the study I read about 6 weeks ago but it had to do with hot and cold hydrotherapy and the body developing positive immune repsonse, which lead to body immunity killing off virus. Studies dated back to the Spanish Flu. In the study it also mentioned syphilis treatment where they would infect people with malaria to kill the syphilis, and then give them quinine to treat the malaria. The isolation of Finland probably explains the low numbers more, but Scandanavia as a whole has had pretty low numbers, and Sweden stayed open for business. Article below touches on hydrotherapy studies. I know I sent the link to someone so I will find it.

Here is a video that I believe gets into the studies. Don't have time to watch the whole thing now.

Sorry to say, but I was expecting some proper sources, like peer-reviewed medical journals etc, not Youtube videos or unsourced "traditional medicine" article.

And Scandinavian countries (I prefer Nordic countries, I don't consider Finland being part of Scandinavia) having low numbers is a half-truth, Sweden certainly stayed open, but their infection and death numbers per capita are one of the largest in the world, about 5 times per capita compared to Finland. The other Nordic countries Norway and Denmark have numbers much more closer to Finland (Iceland is a bit different size and case anyway).

I thought I wrote I couldn't find the link to the original article I read, but there was a video which did touch on the article and I think he had charts and study results in it. The article I read had all kinds of citations, study results, and charts for you to look through as well. Use the search terms I provided and you may find it too. It may have been NIH where I found it.

As for Sweden's numbers they never shutdown period, and while not as low as Finland, Norway, and Denmark, the overall numbers are lower than Germany. What also needs to be considered is type of testing being done in each country, and how are deaths being counted? As well as health and age of the population.

It's much easier to shutdown an isolated nation like Finland, than it is the United States. Did shutting down here work? I don't think so since nothing was ever truly shutdown. People stood in line for hours to go to grocery and box stores. Those that did likely had more exposure to other people than they normally would if things weren't shutdown. The choice to isolate should be a personal one. Where at risk and sick people can choose to stay locked down and the rest of the world can continue on with life. Unfortunately the economic damage of business being brought to a crawl, and free money being distributed like candy, may have much longer lasting and devastating results. Only time will tell.

What I would also be curious to know is how many of the deaths in Sweden were of native Swedes and how many were of migrants?

The Spanish flu pandemic was so traumatizing to the people who experienced it that an entire generation tried to bury the very memory of it even more so than the war they had just fought. Few of that generation wanted to remember it, they started off treating it lightly like many do today, just another irritation to get in the way of resuming normal life after the boys came home. In the end things became so bad that terror drove the majority into isolation and the virus burned out. Easier to do in an America that was still largely rural, and city's were much smaller than today. It didn't get real until people were dropping in the streets, so many died that the gravediggers couldn't keep up, or died themselves. Seeing the neighbors stacked up in box's on the curb probably had a sobering effect. Most of my family survived it, few story's were passed down. There were 106 + million people in the USA in 1920 so the death of 675,000 Americans in a few short years on top of the war dead had a huge impact. People are fucking stupid and constantly forget the lessons of the past and repeat the same mistakes over and over. I fully expect the final death toll for this one to be well over what all the shitbag politicians predict, just like last time. I don't expect any miracle cures either, again, same as last time. Among the information that was well recorded is that many didn't want to wear masks back then either. Not until they were well and truly scared to death of the sickness did they mask up, but by then they would have smeared themselves with green jello and run naked down the street if they thought that would protect them from the flu . They gathered in crowds after being warned, or even ordered not to, same as today. Politicians of every stripe tried to downplay it until some of them started dropping dead themselves. There will be no easy fix, no last minute reprieve, the impact of the pandemic will be very hard, it will last a long time, and none of us will escape it without paying the price with our health, or our economic situation, or both. Years back I did a great deal of reading up on the 1918-20 pandemic, the good ol' Spanish Flu, the subject fascinated me almost as much as the Great War itself. I never expected that I would find myself living it, but now I am starting to understand my great grandparents a bit better. Things were going along fair to middlin' for most of us, about as good as it ever gets, and then this shit had to happen and fucked everything up.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

I see a trend I think in the latest 14 day case maps, for NY state anyways. Cases seem to be going down where this plague first got bad. JYD what is different about Hamilton, Essex, and Heirken counties ? Low population ?
