R Guns PU scope

Post by House Beagle »

Anyone ever seen a PU scope with a crossed out serial number? This is the scope that came on my R Guns 1944 Izhevsk PU, purchased from them in 2013. The serial on the side of the barrel and the mount match each other. Alignment marks don’t line up on the scope and mount. Also it’s an SVT profile scope.

Is this considered matching? Force matched? Did they typically do this type of stuff during refurb?

Yes, I have seen this on a R guns 1944 Tula pu sniper, scratched out serial number on the scope.

Yep, my 44 Tula PU from R-guns has an ex-SVT scope and the s/n is also scratched out.
