"Collectors Forum" - All Mosin Nagant are discussed here. Also the Russian and "Finnish capture" SVT38 and SVT40. This is an excellent place for new Mosin owners to ask questions. We have some of the best experts here looking forward to your questions. If you post a Mosin sniper rifle here, we may or may not move it to the sniper forum.

Jeez, one guy posted that it looked like an early sporterization of the Finnish cavalry carbines, perhaps even an early SAKO sporter. I would hope that if (no chance) SAKO ever made anything like that, there would have been people being thrown off high buildings over it.
This is a must see.
GOOD RIDDANCE LGR!! If there isn't a gun range in heaven, then I'm going to hell.
Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA - ordinary citizens don't need guns, as their having guns doesn't serve the State. Heinrich Himmler
I have said it before, it's just astonishing what you can get people to lay down good money for on the internet.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
This is the guy that lays down 10 grand and more for rifles... I really don't know what to make of this gun... I do know that to post a Mauser in the Mosin section before I've had my coffee is an evil thing to do...
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

When the seller bought the rifle, I saw the post from it. I was a little curious as to why he bought it (other than the barrel is marked SAT). The rifle didn't do anything for me. The GB bidder is not rated---not a good sign for the seller when he had a sure sale on the 1st bid.
Is that a cork but plate or is it just applied to the metal ? I heard they have a caliber minimum for moose up there . I think it`s 8.3mm , don`t hold me to it.

Sparky has bought more than a few that were questionable. A fake M96 civil guard marked comes to mind, but I believe he sold that as not legit. His last sale of the M1925 I believe he called it a M1930, it was in a Peruvian stock, and was questionable at best.
