Hard to say with no pictures.

Never heard of a PPU sniper rifle, but anything from Sweaty Ben is suspect

WHAT ? Hey Gringo, make wife do the pictures so sweaty Ben can be vindicated, :bigrant: ...or not. To be sure they will need clear pics of the scope, turrents, mount, bolt, receiver, importer, and maybe one of Ben holding the rifle.

These are plain old 91/30's built as sniper rifles without scopes in the Ukraine for sale to the uninformed in the US.

Weren't MN sniper just modified 91\30s that shot better than the average? I known there is nothing unique about these Ukrainian mn's. I just wondered if anyone had experience with them.

No posting of reproduction snipers or re-snipered ex-snipers.

Do these Ukrainian rifles fall in the above categories?

Post your rifle. We can tell if it is legit or not.

No, they made snipers in batches. They often are in the middle of a batch. So there is nothing to the story they were pulled from regular duty. Also, the proof marking are not on the left side of the rifle like standard M91/30's. They are higher to accomodate the scope marks. So, the testing marks were done differently.

The first snipers that came out (in bulk) all were Ukrainian refurbished snipers. All made in Russia, but refurbished in the Ukraine. Most were RGUNS.

If they were snipers in WWII, then they were snipers now unless they were converted back to standard M91/30. The work needs to be done by an arsenal, not privately after the sale of the rifle from the arsenals. Resnipering is an area that always brings arguing, so we don't allow them on the forums. As the work was not done by an arsenal, but a company or a private person after the ownership transferred from country to private hands.

Classic still have their video up on these and in stock. They have threaded muzzles :big shock: and bolt handles about half a foot long. And screwy scope mounts.

It's why they still have some. No one wants reproduction crap. Certainly not at his prices.

There is a company somewhere in N.C. doing nothing but Mosin modifications, and doing well. I saw their ads somewhere , it made wanna hurl. But what's all this gonna do to the price of the correct collected ones.?

Hi everyone.
I am new to the forum and this is my first post.
I purchased a Ukrainian sniper from classic firearms earlier this year and would like to know what scope will fit the mount on this mosin.
Classic has one they recommended purchasing with the rifle but I was wanting something more period correct if that exists.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Mark

Not really that hard.

Here is a demo page on how to do it.

If you can take pictures with a smart phone, email them to your PC, then make a dedicated file to download the pics to. Easiest way I've found. All you do then is attach files at the bottom of your post.

I take pictures with my Canon point and shoot camera, tell the camera to size the pictures down to 640x480 ( a size the forum will allow) load them into the PC and upload them to the posts with no issues.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
