I glommed a CG 63 a few weeks back at an online auction. The picture (one!) was kinda crappy and the description was worse. But I bid accordingly and I think it worked out.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
Cool, I used to do that with Finn M39's and such. That was a long time back, such performance does not happen today, must be the rifle and ammo's fault.

Funny you should mention that . I've got a Finnish M28/76 that I've never fired. It would be interesting to have a shoot off between it and my Swedish Target rifles.

I would think the performance level would be about the same with either rifle. Both rifles are built to do one thing, maximum accuracy on the target range, tools for the highest trained sharpshooters. Either rifle is pretty useless without the training to know how to use them properly.

Father Time is to blame. I can see iron sights fine without my glasses, but the the target is fuzzy. Can't see the sights good with the glasses on. The M- 39's aren't going bad, we are. There is a herbal supplement in Europe that hunters take in the fall to improve vision. I can't recall the name of it but the article I read was by someone here in the US that said it worked great. If anybody knows what it is I'd like to order some to try at the range.

It's Jagermeister.

I tried Jagermeister already. It turned me into the Wolfman, roaming the country side at night, terrorizing the people.
