Slap Leather Partner

Post by Longcolt44 »

My only single action western type revolver is/was my Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt so when this came in to the shop I had to have it. It is the world famous Ruger Blackhawk in .357 With a 6 1/2 barrel. It came in wrapped in this heavy duty leather rig you see shown here and the best part is that it fits my somewhat heavy duty waist, not shown here. It also had the documentation and old parts replaced by Ruger showing an update of the hammer and related parts had been made making it safer to carry in a holster. I will let the pictures do the talking here so please enjoy.

All my friends either wanted one of those or had one that they took hunting back in the early 70's. For us poor boys, we had the Ruger Black Hawk 22 convertible (22 / 22 mag).

Very nice piece!!!

Had you seen the video posted above? I may be way behind the 8 ball, but I first saw it a few months ago.

This mother is loud, very loud. Maybe it was so loud because I had forgotten to put in my ear protection but remembered at the first round.

The fucking 22s are loud. Your ears gotta still be ringing if you fired that 357 off with no plugs.

So much awesomeness. :Drool1:  Always wanted one. Reminds me of a story, :o " A guy I know ", and his brother who has a Ruger Blackhawk .357 mag and 40 some years ago were riding in the country and the guy got the brilliant idea to shoot it at a fence post. Being a brain surgeon :ugeek: in training :bonk: he shot it at a post while in the car. he had no idea that even hanging his arm out the window it would be as loud as it was. :big shock: Good grief he couldn't hear for 2+ days. And that children is how we learn life lessons. Never ever happened again ! :chuckles: The names in this story were changed to protect the idiots......
