Hey gang my names Glenn. I’m living in Southwest Florida. I had a couple Mosin long ago, but I have a renewed interest lately. Just saying hi and checking out the forum.
Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
Recently bought an M44 Izhevsk 1947r I am a little older than the rifle. This looks like the right place to be to learn about the Mosin line of firearms.

Post pictures of the '47 in the regular Mosin forum. By the way, the '47 M44 is one of the hardest to get in a collection.

Hello everyone, just joined the forum. Became interested in mosins after my dad brought home a 91/30, and now we are interested in m39s and other finnish rifles. Joined so I could see everyone’s photos and ask a question once in a while.

Thats a nice looking 91/30. Do you know what country made it? We need better pics of the receiver where the date / numbers are, all markings in that area, to tell you what it is.

Think for the help for getting started,
I correctly identified it as a Soviet Izhevshevsk of 1943. has not revised any numbers next to the year of manufacture? ? I noticed that the "r" after 1943 was missing I did not find anything about it.

Please re-post these pictures to the main Mosin forum so we can get better opinions on the markings.

Hello! I have a Mosin I bought a handful of years ago and was debating selling it but I cleaned the barrel today and it's mirror. Now I'm mulling it over and looking to learn something about it.
