Suomi K31 semi prices

Post by Levallois »

Well, as usual i’m Late to the party. Would have loved to pick one up at $400. I’m looking at these now and I’ve noticed that prices seem to be flucuating. I’ve seen them from $675-1500. What should one reasonably expect to pay for a decent TNW-made K31 these days? Thank you for your time.

Don't know where you have been looking but they are selling for under $600 on the gun auctions.

I appreciate the replies. I haven't seen any on the web for under $600 recently. Those days might be gone but I’ll keep looking. An $800-900 figure may be the new reality.

The ones that are not made or engineered well sell cheaper and that may be what you are looking at. The good ones that hold up and give no trouble sell in the $700 to $900 range and think they are the ones made by Wise? Joe has been looking for one and he has the technical stuff on them down pat so maybe he will chime in on this? I got mine through a trade about 5 years ago and it eats ammo at a voracious rate and weighs a small ton even with not using the drum mag and only using the lighter stick mags and coffin mags when you can find them. It is amazingly accurate for a subgun in semi auto out to 40 yards or so and of course with the heavy weight has little recoil. Bill

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help but I got one (for more than the going rate, of course) because I have no patience whatsoever. It’s a later TNW with an H-prefix serial number. I’ll post photos when I receive it. Best, John.

My TNW semi (top) with a dummy Suomi SMG (bottom). Can’t wait to shoot the darn thing.

Cool.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Thanks Millman. The other side. I love the stock on the TNW.
