I am sure after the war ended, most of them were collected from the battlefield, inspected, repaired if needed and sold off/given to third world countries of the Soviet block. Although the Soviet Union was poor after the war it had plenty of weapons it could sell/export to get some $$$. So now you see them coming out of storage from Africa and turkey and make their way into USA.

I am not sure how rare these scopes are but I am sure they have some history that many people love.

I didn't know you knew me back then. Then again, there is a lot I don't remember about those days.

If the truth be known, by '76 I had calmed down a bunch. I had been married for five years and had just gotten my journeyman's plumber's license. I worked with a company where alcoholism was a requirement to maintain employment so I was drinking a lot of beer.

'76 was when I bought all my stock in Stroh's bohemian fire brewed beer. Then Miller, then Coor's lite. My personal record was 25 silver bullets in a day. I made it home that night but my '70 International truck did not.
