3 Mosins Price Check
3 Mosins Price Check
Here are 3 I will be parting with soon. Looking for some details and value info on them. Obviously one is a Remington, one a Winchester, the third I have no clue. 2 have bayonets, 2 are Finn ( SA ) marked on receiver. Please tell me more about them.

Re: 3 Mosins Price Check
They are all M91 Mosin Nagant rifles, three line rifles of the Mosin system if you are Russian, and most or all appear to be SA marked, that's the Finnish military property stamp post 1942. Value is three hundred and fifty thou....Oh, no gold stocks, scratch that. Value is best determined by finding similar rifles for sale on gunbroker.com and monitoring the auctions to see what, or if they sell, what several sell for will give you an idea of current market value. In other words what real people are actually paying for them, as opposed to what some book, or expert thinks they are worth. I am not the one to ask about value, I paid next to nothing for mine and if I wanted to sell them I would hold out for top market value determined using the method I mentioned, if I didn't want to sell them then the value is three hundred and fifty thousand in small nonconsecutive used bills , the price of pestering me to sell something I don't want, or need to sell.
Oh, by the way, that last one is Izhevsk arsenal, and why on earth would you want to part with what appear to be some very nice condition hard to find Mosin M91's in the first place? Sell spare organs or blood if you need cash, sell the car, walking is good for you, sublet your closet, once you sell such rifles you will likely never see such nice ones again. All three of these are a better and more stable investment that anything else I can think of just now, I know mine are a shitload more valuable now than when I bought them, and grow more so every year.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Re: 3 Mosins Price Check
$ 500 would be the lowest price for any of them if they were mine. But I say that not having really looked or fired any of them. They should sell for more to the right buyer. The ones like yours on GB priced at $900 aren't getting any bids.

Those are nice pieces - I'm not overly familiar with the pricing on those, but the Remington and Winchester should be substantially higher than a "regular" MN.

Re: 3 Mosins Price Check
Not a "Winchester" .... it's a Westinghouse rifle.
One Westinghouse
One Remington
One Izhevsk arsenal
I'm not a good person to ask price from. I paid around $100 (or less) for mine when I bought them. It's been a while since I have paid these going prices.

I would love to find a Mosin M91 with the Winchester name on it, unknown pre production sample from a contract not accepted. Oh boy, that would be one big bag full of Benny's

Ummmmm, yeah....... Westinghouse.......
Re: 3 Mosins Price Check
Actually the prices will vary on what method of sale you choose to pursue, at a show, on a forum, Gunbroker or similar method, and lastly where the area is you are trying to sell them in. You should let us know what you are considering if possible. Good Luck as this is a very poor time of the year to sell this kind of stuff. People are more concerned with vacation money and such right now. Billprofessor9 wrote:What do you value them at?

Re: 3 Mosins Price Check
That is true. Many of my friends have been spending enough on their vacations to bankroll all three of these rifles even at full market value. Me myself, I stayed home but my wife went to Mexico with the church group and that cost enough for at least 2 of your rifles. I too wonder about the reason for selling these. Are they part of a collection you have acquired over time? Meaning have you been the owner of them for awhile? Or perhaps you came into them recently and have not really got the collector interest to hang onto them? I'm gonna say you have a collective total value of 1500.00 combined, and that is a conservative low end. They look very nice.
