39 Bayonet

I came home with this yesterday. Saw it on the floor of a shop, did not even know what it was for, just loved the " been there done that " fighting knife look. Had to have it...... You know how it is !!

Coming home with one of those at almost any price these days is a winning situation. There was just much discussion of a repro copy going for $400 or so bucks. Someone mentioned on that thread the real ones had been asking $1000 and plus for one. Many years ago at The Knob Cree Machine gun show I bought several repros at about $50 a piece and when I started they were just hard to find at about $100 to $200 each. Amazing what people will pay these days! Hope you got a good price! Congrats. Bill :D

Just based on your post it sounds like you picked it up for next to nothing. Not knowing what it was and all. Obviously the seller didn't either. If you hadn't bought it then it would have been a situation like my dad would have called "where 2 fools met" [emoji14]
