7.62x38 Brass
7.62x38 Brass
Is 7.62x38 Nagant ammo re-loadable? I don't reload but I have about 100 once fired Fiocchi Nagant brass in the original boxes. Don't know why I saved/kept them.

If it is Boxer primed, it should be.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Re: 7.62x38 Brass
I have Fiocchi and PPU commercial ammo. I looked into the tools and process to reload this round and decided it just wasn't worth the effort. The tapered and crimped bullet inside the case is the biggest problem. I thought it would be like loading a .38 wadcutter round, but it is far more complicated than that.
I have about 500 rounds of Fiocchi that I bought last year from Palmetto State Armory when it was on special for $11.95 a box. I have about 500 rounds loose Russian surplus and a spam can (unopened) of 1092 rounds 1977 Russian surplus. I figured as slow as this revolver is to load (and unload), I will never shoot all of it. Still, it is fun and a challenge to shoot the old revolver, and cleaning, even with corrosive surplus, is not too hard. It is a great conversation piece on the range, as most people around here have never seen a Nagant.

I just saw your post and even though I don't have a Nagant revolver, I am interested in collectables especially unique ones like the Nagant. I found this article you may or may not be interested in.
